Selby Aquatics Center
The Selby Aquatics Center blends top-tier athletic training with casual water park fun.
The YMCA’s National Champion Sharks Swim Teams (youth and masters) train at the lap-pool throughout the year and general members are invited to also enjoy the outdoor facility.
Next door is the Josephine Lofino Splash Park that opened in late 2005. The splash park adds to the already unique water park, which includes a variety of waterslides, water cannons and splash pools. Parents can rest easy on the sun deck while toddlers and children play in the splash park where there is a slip free wet deck and no standing water. A full-service concession stand makes the water park a perfect spot to beat the summertime heat.
Fees:
The use of the Selby Aquatics Center is complimentary for Sarasota YMCA members.
A daily rate of $10 per person is available for non-members. For Y-AWAY members, the cost is $5 per person.
Weekly rates are not available for the Selby Aquatics Center. If a weekly membership for the Evalyn Sadlier Branch is purchased a reduced rate of $5.00 per day per person will be extended to those individuals for use of the Selby Aquatics Center.

Aqua Wellness Classes These water exercise classes will increase flexibility, tone and strengthen muscles while paying special attention to physical problems. Water Exercise These classes are designed to build your strength, endurance, and flexibility all while toning your body in a low impact environment. Parent/Child Classes Swim lessons for children ages 6 months – 5 years and their parent(s). Preschool Swim Classes Swimming lessons for children ages 3 – 5 years unaccompanied by parents in the water. Youth Swim Classes Swimming lessons for children ages 6 – 12 years. Private Lessons Learning basic swimming skills, advanced stroke development and Personal Training on a one to one basis. Lifeguard Classes <p>The lifeguard certification course will teach the participant water rescue skills, first aid skills and CPR skills.</p> Sharks Swim Team The Sarasota Family YMCA is home to the Sharks Swim Team.
