Hardee County

The Hardee County Family YMCA is located in Wauchula, 60 miles east of Sarasota. Hardee is one of five fitness branches that the Sarasota Family YMCA operates. With the help of many local community leaders, this branch opened its doors in 1994 and has continued to grow in membership.

The facility has expanded to include a full fitness center with cardio, free weight and nautilus equipment. Specialty programs are held in a beautiful aerobics studio that overlooks the fitness floor.

Each day over 100 children are enriched through participation in the after-school care program. Teens enjoy before and after school entertainment in the special teen room with games, pool and outdoor sports.

The success of the Hardee County YMCA is made possible through many community partnerships including health and medical facilities, which mutually benefit the population of Hardee County.
