Youth & Family Services

Our emphasis on youth and their families is demonstrated with shelters for runaway, homeless and at-risk teens as well as foster care group homes. We offer counseling to students and families (free of charge) from any middle or high school within Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have one Triad Alternative School as well as programs for homeless and truant teens.

One year ago today, police escorted a young man named Josh to the Sarasota Family YMCA youth shelter because his alcoholic, abusive mother had kicked him out and refused to allow him to return home.
