Educational Outreach Services
This department implements programs to elevate the quality of child care (center-based, faith-based, family child care and after school care), education, and family involvement for children birth to age 12. The main office is headquartered within the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. branch of the YMCA. Program offices are located throughout the county for convenient access for clients.

HIPPY (Home Instruction of Parents for Preschool Youngsters) assists parents in becoming more involved with the education of their children, ages 3-5. HIPPY staff work with parents to have them understand the importance of reading to their children on a regular basis. Staff go into the homes and assist both parents and children with assignments designed to help children learn shapes, forms, colors and other experiences necessary for them to be successful when they enter school. The HIPPY Program has two locations one in Sarasota and another in Venice.
