Sharks Swim Team

The Sarasota Family YMCA Sharks swim team has been building champions since 1961. Since the beginning, a tradition of excellence was created and continues to be recognized at all levels, including state, national and interantional stages.

The Sarasota Family YMCA Sharks have won the YMCA National Championship the last four consecutive years and won the Florida State YMCA Championship 17 times. In 2008 the program was proud to bring six swimmers to the prestigious Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha, Neb.

In addition to its highly-competetive program, the Sharks also offers several levels for swimmers just starting out and those who prefer a less strenuous, but still competetive program.
