Health and Fitness

The moment you cross the YMCA threshold, you’re moving toward a healthier lifestyle. Our front desk staff will be more than happy to tour you through our branches to see our state-of-the-art health equipment, pools and exercise studios, as well as, tell you about our multiple strength and conditioning programs.

As a member you have free access to the our registered dietitian, Mallie Shirk, who will help tailor a nutrition program just for you or answer your questions about popular diet information.

Our certified personal trainers balance out the healthy equation with their customized strength and cardiovascular programs. You can work with them to create a program to do on your own or schedule regular workout sessions.

We also offer conditioning classes such as Boot Camp and Women on Weights. Boot Camp uses military training techniques to whip your body into shape, while Women on Weights focuses on proper weight-training techniques that work with women’s body composition and different joint alignments.

Teens are encouraged to begin a healthy lifestyle early at our Youth Fitness Centers at the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. and Evalyn Sadlier Jones Branches. For your post workout needs, don’t forget to stop by the massage therapist at any of our branches. Click on the links to the left to learn more about these and more programs.
