Adventure

The Sarasota Family YMCA is excited to offer a unique opportunity in our outdoor adventure activities and camps. A platform 50 feet in the air awaits you at the top of our Alpine Climbing Tower; participants as young as five are invited to scale its different paths to the top. The tower and our 45-foot Carolina climbing wall are also available for adult and youth activities which combine individual accomplishment, team building and communication in an environment of "challenge by choice." No one will be pushed to do anything they do not feel comfortable doing.

Other adventure activities include excursions to scenic locations along Sarasota Bay for kayaking. All of our adventure activities are designed to use physical activities to develop decision-making skills, leadership qualities, set goals and build a healthy self-image.

Our fun, supportive atmosphere is lead by professional instructors. All camps and classes have a low student to teacher ratio to ensure personal learning time and safety.
