The YMCA is at the heart of the Sarasota Community. It collaborates with donors and other agencies for the betterment of its children and families and our recent history is complete with fabulous documented outcomes.

GREG RUMPH - ARTIST, TEACHER AND Y ACHIEVER’S PROGRAM GRADUATE Two paintings by Y Achiever’s Program graduate, Greg Rumph, are hanging in the Martin Luther King Museum. Greg speaks about his work and why the Achiever’s program has been important to his life works.

PAUL WELCH - “I WANT TO GIVE BACK WHAT WAS GIVEN TO ME” Thanks to the support of Mr. Welch and others the Welch Family Teen Center recently opened. The Teen Center offers kids a new place to “hang out” while offering the latest in technologies and games while promoting movement and encouraging character values of respect, truth, responsibility and caring.

CARING CAMPAIGN COMES INTO FOCUS WITH HELP OF 13-YEAR-OLD One young man’s story stands out as an example of how the Caring Campaign creates awareness in our community of children, adults and seniors who without help, may not be able to take part in camps, exercise classes or find a safe place to connect with new friends.
