GOING FOR THE GOLD is the YMCA Foundation’s annual fund raising black tie dinner and auction. Established in 1991, this event has grown to become one of the largest, if not the largest, fund raising one-night event in Sarasota. Held at the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Branch a sold-out crowd of almost 500 enjoys a sumptuous dinner, huge live and silent auctions, entertainment and dancing.
A committee of 100 community leaders and dedicated chairs work hard all year long to: create innovative themes that change annually; obtain auction items and ads for our evening program; and solicit corporate and patron sponsorships.
Funds from this event benefit the YMCA Foundation whose mission it is to support the programs and services of the Sarasota Family YMCA.
