Community Coalition

The Community Coalition for Children founded by Kim Githler and coordinated by the YMCA Foundation of Sarasota offers corporations, businesses and religious establishments the opportunity to partner with the YMCA and provide support to needy children in our community.

The Community Coalition for Children partners meet the needs of at-risk children in YMCA programs such as foster care, the runaway shelter for youth, TRIAD our alternative school, Operation Graduation, YReads, Achievers, Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY), Schoolhouse Link for homeless children, and others with community leaders, businesses and religious institutions. Partnerships include hands-on volunteerism as well as providing discretionary funds to enhance the services the children receive.
