Foundation staff coordinates The YMCA’s annual Caring Campaign. This campaign offers Senior Management, Metro Board members, Branch Board members, staff, special friends and Sarasota Family YMCA members the opportunity to contribute financially.

Funds raised in the Annual Caring Campaign are unrestricted and their use is directed by Senior Management. Following are just a few examples of how these funds are spent:

• $120 Sponsor a child for one week at a YMCA summer camp.
• $444 Give a Senior Citizen the gift of health and friendship - annual membership
• $852 Help the YMCA's mission of Building Strong Kids, Strong Families, Strong Communities - Annual Family Membership
• $1,300 Teach a parent how to be a preschool child's first teacher ensuring the child's readiness for kindergarten at age 5
• $2,000 Shelter homeless or runaway youths while locating a long term answer to their emotional and housing needs
• $3,500 Scholarship deserving YMCA youths, many of whom are graduates of the YMCA Achievers Program to attend college
• $5,000 Purchase diapers and formula for babies living with their Mom's at the YMCA Character House for six months
