YMCA Honors Outstanding Volunteers

The Sarasota Family YMCA presented awards for outstanding service to 20 of its hundreds of hard-working volunteers on October 27, 2009 at the association’s Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. These award recipients were recognized for excelling in the areas of leadership and service.

Lynn Bonnett, chairman of the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Branch Board of Directors, received the prestigious Volunteer of the Year award for his exceptional work as a YMCA volunteer for the past 20 years.

“In our life we all have something that has a great effect on us, and for me, I give back to the community in memory of those who have helped me during my life,” said Bonnett, also the owner of Sarasota Roofing.
